Puffy Water Dispenser Cover

Hi there Cupcakes..... ;*

First of all, I feel sorry for the Floods that hit Jakarta lately. Almost everyday we have a non-stop rain, and that caused Jakarta is fully paralyzed by floods today. However, I hope the Authority and the Community can cooperate together to overcome this disaster. And I'm hoping for the flood victims are all safe and well in their shelter....Amin
              ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Anyway, I finally finished my longest-time-ever crochet project. I let you take a peek in this post, and a week later I managed to wrap it up.......Woooshaaaa.....mission accomplished!!!
There's nothing fancy with this pattern. I just got inspired when seeing this puff stitch, and I have some cotton yarns which had no idea what will be made. So, tried to made a pattern for my water dispenser. And I didn't write down the pattern since the steps was created during the making, so.....sorry :(
BUT, if you like to make your own pattern from Puff stitch, here is a tutorial of How-to Crochet Puff stitch.
I'll see you later, Angels...it's getting chillin' here...brrrr!
Biggest Simple Things
Hi Angels....
Almost everyday is a rainy day here....freezing....but Mommy's still survive ;)
Anyway, two days ago -at a family gathering- I had a nice conversation with my cousin-in-law, Dannii. This lovely lady owns an online Kebaya boutique which produce beautiful and elegant Kebaya. You can visit her online boutique at Inade Kebaya. Since both of us love to create something and sell it...(well, I'm thinking of selling it ;p), so the conversation went on things that we (really) passionate about. I really had so much fun, and miraculously, it became some kind of creative booster for me! AND, I also got introduced to one of her friend who also owns an online boutique and produce her own collection...how great!
Oh, I'm so grateful with our last talks, Dear Dannii..... I had so much fun, I got new supplier for my shop, I get a creative booster, I even got a slight courage to try taking part on craft bazaar or such. Look what have you gave me, Dannii?! Alhamdulillah, who would expect great things comes from a humble and fun conversation.....I didn't ;)!
So, since I fully recharged, as soon as I got home I picked my hybernating-for-almost-two-months crochet project and said to it..."Don't worry beautiful, I'll finish you now".....
Well, Angels.....what is your biggest Simple thing?
2012 was...
...my most PASSIONATE year!
Of course, there were Ups and Downs...the Rollercoaster of Life. But Alhamdulillah, this year I really feel complete, focused, productive, and very much enjoying my life...to the fullest! :D
Ups :
my online Boutique :D
Downs :
My babies are my everything. They are my world, my dreams, my inspirations, my life....If something happened to them, it's like my world is taken away from me or like stripping off my soul from my body. And my very Low moments was when Agasha get Dehydrated and when we Lost him two days before New Year. Hopefully there won't be any terrifying moments happened in 2013 and the years after...Amin.
How is your Ups and Downs, Dear? Hopefully what we had in 2012 can be a good ammo to face what's await in 2013...Amin :)
Another Crochet Ribbed Beanie
Heeeey, Dear...!
Horaay for Mommy as I just finished another Crochet Ribbed Beanie for your Grandpa. Made from the same yarn like your Daddy's beanie, LB Vanna's Choice in Dark Grey. BUT, unfortunately there weren't enough yarn for the crown, so I substitute it with Caron Country in Charcoal. Not much different from the colour tone, but they do different in fiber character --Caron is more light and flexible--. However, you will hardly notice it, as it only on the couple of rounds of the crown ;p.
Anyway, like I told you before here that this Crochet Ribbed Beanie is an easy pattern and one of my favourite. It isn't crochet in rounds-top-to-bottom, instead it made in rows so you can get that 'knit-ribbed' look. The rows part are easy, but it's a bit tricky for me to ending the crown. I've tried to look on Youtube on 'How-to' ending crochet beanie, but I found nothing. Of course, that's because commonly Hat or Beanie is crochet from top-to-bottom. BUT, then I found these two videos that help me so much with this 'case'. Now...I'll happily share the videos to you so you guys can also tried this wonderful pattern for yourself or your loved one :D
The second video, I don't know why, can not embed. But you can go straight to her youtube channel here....also you'll found other fun crochet project tutorials from Teresa. Oh, and believe me, Miss Teresa is a very wonderful crochet teacher :)
So...may my Angels have a wonderful crocheting times, and wish you all a beautiful-wonderful Hat to wear on ;D.
XOXO..... :*
Beanie for Hubby
Evening Dear.....
Finally, I made something for my beloved Husband. Hehehehe...your Daddy asked me to craft something for him. Well, maybe after some Knit and Crochet projects I made for my Angels and other family members, it's time I make something for him. So when I was looking at Hat pictures on Ravelry, your Dad chose one picture and said, "Make me this one, Dear". Oh, with my pleasure Honey...'coz he chose a Crochet Beanie picture...YES, back to crochet! ;p
I'm using Lion Brand Vanna's Choice in Dark Grey colour. It's a Medium weight yarn...
The Beanie was Crocheted with Knit-stitch look, so I think it's kind of cool. I love the yarn I'm using, I love the pattern --it's easy to follow-- and moreover your Daddy LOVE the result! He thinks it's AWESOME! And then I would say, "Cool, Dude....", hehehehe ;p
ps : Beanie Pattern can be seen at my Ravelry
September Rocks!
Hi Honey...! ;)
Yes, I love this month a lot! Mommy is a little bit over productive. There have been some hustle and bustle in the crafting area for the last two weeks as Mommy finally finished three crochet projects......yup, three....honey! Three crochet projects and...all DONE! And Nooo, this hot-y Momma is unstoppable about crafting as she already on her next project to make a Cover for sewing machine. But, bad news for me, there's something wrong with my sewing machine so I'm hand-sewing for this project. And of course I'll share the story and some pictures to you after it ready ;). Oh, another update, finally Mommy start to learn Knitting. Aside that I'm so excited about it, I found that Knitting is waaay harder than Crocheting. Well, I'm still working on it and am sure I'll get there somehow... ;)
So, I first started on the Poncho, since August to be exactly. I considered it as a big project, so there were some pausing just to keep me fresh. I'm using two yarns with the colour of Aisya's fave colours, pink and purple. It's Local cotton and I supposed the weight is Sport (but since I joined two yarns together it became Worsted), and using F hook.
The Result.....Ta Daaa....!
Second project is Pretty Hat. I made this cute one in between my paused working on Poncho. It's a lovely and easy pattern. And it's definitely becoming my favourite hat pattern. I was using a 100% wool Sport yarn in dark Pink and light Pink, and made this with G hook.
And for the last crochet project of this month, I made something for myself. Something to warm my neck and also can be accessories for the look. So I was making a lace-y-look Cowl. It's also a pretty and easy pattern, so it's also in my Favourite list in my Ravelry. The Cowl was made with local cotton Worsted yarns using a 4.00mm hook. I love it and use it every night when I'm doin' my stuff on the computer :).
Now I can break for a while from Crochet and start concentrating to practice my Knit lesson, and my sewing skill (especially on how to use a sewing machine ;p). I've made some list of both Knit and Sewing project that I am thrill to try to make! Like the Saying said..."Never stop Learning"....You too Honey, go on finding what you desire to learn, whatever that is (but stay on positive things, okay!). Learn it, try to make it, and reward yourself no matter good or bad the result is....the Reward is for the Process, okay Dear?!
ps : For the Poncho, Hat, and the Cowl patterns can be seen on my Ravelry :)
Crochet Updates
Buona notte, Angeli.........
And that would be 'Good Evening, Angels....' in Italy ;)
How are you doin'? Mommy is well, Alhamdulillah....Although I'm starting to feel the stiff around my neck is coming back again. I'm afraid it's because of my cholesterol is getting back on the high number again (-_-'). Oh well, perhaps I should try to do crochet on treadmill?! Speaking of Crochet....finally I finished the Yellow Cardigan for Alicia. Boy, it took me 3 weeks to finish it. There were some bored moments in between that I should refreshed myself with a bit of games, tried on some recipes (and it was an un grand succès!), and I even managed to make a new beanie for miss Sophia. So I wiped out my forehead now and I could move on to another new project. Ups, I should do the blocking first (maybe tomorrow...or whenever I made the time :p).
The Picot Stictch
Oh yes, I learned new stitch. The pattern is using Picot stitch for the trimming but I couldn't following the Picot direction on the pattern. So I seek for help from one of my fave Tutorial channel on Youtube, and I was like 'Piece of cake'...You can learn it too ;D!
Hiya, Angels......!
I straight on trying them all as soon as I unwrapped it for a quality check....and all of it are comfortable to use and runs smoothly when I did a sc, dc, and of course did a couple inches of chain......my new crochet hooks are passed all tests!
(I bought my crochet hooks from Christi's Collections at Amazon.com, the Seller Rating is 99% positive and now I'm one happy costumer...so I definitely recommend this seller :D)
Another things that I would like to recommend is this crochet book...
I didn't buy this from Amazon.com, but it's in my wish list. I love it, it's complete with all the granny shapes you could ever wanted to make. Squares, Hexagons, Triangles, Circles, even unusual shapes. You can take a peek of the inside at Amazon.com...
...and here are a bit of sneak peek from me...
Now...is there any reasons for Mommy not to be excited, with these indulgence..?! Move aside....there's one hot momma with hooks ready to rock!!!
Highlights from weekend
Hi Dear..........*yawning*........
Oh yeah, my trademark a long this weekend was yawning.......dear God, there was a lot of yawning and I don't know how did I survived. Anyway, the weekend buzz was started from Friday morning, Mommy-Daddy-and Aisya was take Aisya's Report Card and my girl is up grading to Kindergarten-B, another year and next thing I know she'll be on Elementary....oh....
Saturday, hunting for bargain yarns, at Jatinegara market. Well, I won't called it 'hunting' since I just checked in one shop, and just spent around 20 minutes to selecting yarns and making the orders. Yup, it only takes 20 minutes of shopping after we spent nearly 3 hours trip with 2 hours of traffic jam and around 30 minutes doing 2 laps to find a parking space......in addition, it was hot and sweaty. But in the end of the day, I'm glad I decided to come along with my Father, and take Aisya too, because I brought home some colourful yarns, and Aisya was sooo excited with her first experienced to the market (and crowded one). "I'm having an adventured time!", she would said it over and over again.......(^^,)
And Sunday was swimming time with little miss Sophia at Oma's (to bad Mommy didn't took any pictures, but Iway did some, let's ask her to share it ;p). And ended this weekend with jumping and running around with cousins at Kukung's (means 'Grandpa' in Javanesse) and others 'brutal' acts that can only be done by toddler (brutal enough to get me a heart attack!).
Now that we home already, my babies are all asleep, and I can have my blogging time accompanied by my all time fave Good Day Arabian Nut coffee, and start browsing on my next crochet project.....Oh yes, that's one big smile on my face, for sure.... :D
If you still awake too, I'll leave you to enjoy some of my finished crochet.....Goodnight angels ;)
Spectacular Saturday
Hi Cupcakes....!
Yesterday was full of excitement. I had a Mother-Daughter time with beautiful-Alicia today. Sister Aisya was at Oma's, Daddy and monsieur Agasha went to a Toys Exhibition with uncle Seno. So Mommy was stayed with Alicia who gave a minute of tantrum, she wanted to go with Daddy, and sweet as Buttercup for the next hours ......I always know there's a Princess hiding down there, just needed to find the right way to get her out ;)
Alicia, my second born. Different she is. Not as easy as her sister nor her brother. Her mood changing in seconds, like she has a switch or something. I never thought she's naughty, though. I just say that she is....Bright! Oh yes, like the Sun, Alicia's personality is warm and bright and POP. She loves to running around, jumping on Mommy's bed, climbing on everything climb-able, doodling on....almost everything, teasing annoying her sister (roots of the epic fights, and I'll start yelling), playing wrestled with Agasha (and I'll start yelled again), hm....what else did i missed...?
But she can also be as sweet as muffin, warm like the sunlight, and calm like the ocean........em, occasionally. One of that peaceful time was when she plays with her make-up set and do some pro-like make-up which I think can be used for the Runway ;p
Believe me when I said it'll work for Runway...or maybe for Helena Bonham-Carter's next movie, do you think?
Short story we had a great time together, had a wonderful chat, watched Cartoon Network, she was occupied and I moved on with Agasha's Hoodie. Oops, speaking of the devil, I finished the left arm already and still have the right arm and the hoodie part to work on.......I'll keep updating the progress, okay. It's late already and I'm sleepy........Goodnight kisses for you Angels :*
